Wave Music is a conceptual music streaming app designed to deliver a seamless, relaxing listening experience. Its purpose is to make music feel fluid and intuitive, something users can flow through effortlessly. Unlike loud or overwhelming competitors, Wave Music focuses on calm navigation, clean visuals, and emotional connection through sound.

About The App.
The brand name “Wave Music” represents both sound waves and the soothing rhythm of water. It captures the idea that music moves, shifts, and carries emotion. The app concept is built around this dual meaning: music as motion, and music as atmosphere



The Brief and Design Solution.
Originally created in 2023 for a Griffith College assignment, the Wave logo was redesigned in 2025 after I decided the earlier work didn’t fully capture my vision. My original iterations leaned heavily into the Wave name, but I wanted to move beyond the typical “music sound waves” visuals common in app branding. My goal was to create a subtle link to the ocean while tying it back to music in a unique way. Through iteration, I landed on a manta ray form with the text integrated inside — a symbol that feels bold, grunge, and distinctly rock‑and‑roll, yet still connected to sound and flow. I chose a calming, accessible colour to correlate the brand with relaxation. A discreet music symbol reinforces the app’s purpose, and a clean, hand drawn modern typeface keeps the logo memorable without clutter. To extend the identity, I explored interface concepts, showing how the branding could carry across digital touchpoints with consistency and impact.
